About Dripstone Children’s Centre
Dripstone Children’s Centre is based in the leafy northern suburb of Brinkin. We are a not- for-profit, community run childcare centre. The service cares for to 65 children each day.
Our service is a warm and inviting centre, that works in partnership with our families to ensure the best outcomes for the children.
The service uses the Early Years Learning framework (EYLF) to implement individual programs for each child. We have a range of engaging indoor and outdoor spaces to allow children to explore and learn at their own space at their own pace and time.
Our large outdoor areas have productive fruit and vegetable gardens and are also home to a number of beautiful chickens. The children at Dripstone harvest the fresh produce, and collect the fresh eggs, both of which are used in freshly cooked meals on-site. The children at Dripstone learn to care for their environment, through caring for our chickens, gardens, and taking part in our embedded sustainability practices.
Our curriculum is based on the children’s interests, knowledge, culture and abilities. We recognise and respond to the children and through play encourage a love of learning. The children are viewed as capable and competent, and they influence and make choices about their day.
We encourage family participation and have many opportunities for parents and families to engage in their child’s learning. Our management committee is run by parents and welcomes new members.
We foster open and honest communication with our families, and provide feedback on your child`s learning. Through open and honest relationships we develop a strong understanding on how to support you and your child.
